Saurette in Daily Candy Kids Everywhere

April 30, 2009
Turn, Turn, Turn
Saurette for Girls

Do you know the tale of the twirling girl,
Whose billowing skirts set her off on a whirl?
One day on a spin she bumped into Saurette,
A premier line of dresses she’ll never forget.

Her heart skipped a beat, took a requisite twist.
She then tried one on — it was hard to resist.
Embroidery, trimmings, and beading by hand,
No wonder these frocks were in such demand.

Fluttering sleeves made of cotton and silk,
Sweeter than cookies and choc-o-late milk.
Made babe skip and turn ’til she saw she was flush.
A wee boho fashion plate found the gold rush.

Thank You from Edie Falco

I ran into Edie Falco, best known as Carmela on the Sopranos, one day in our local pediatrics office. She was there with her two lovely children, one of which was her adorable little girl, Macy. An adorable little girl I thought would look great in Saurette!

Look for Edie in her upcoming project (currently in post production),
"Three Backyards".

Thank You from Evan Handler!

Hi Lisa...

The package arrived! Thank you so much for thinking of us, and for sending that beautiful dress for Sofia! It was such a delightful surprise. And, I'm sure you'd like to know, after looking at the label my wife immediately knew which of Sofia's other dresses were made by the same company. This one should fit her perfectly in a couple of months, at which time she'll be spending the summer with her mother in Italy, so it really works out as a great gift. The new collection looks gorgeous, so we'll keep our eyes out and make sure to pick up/ order some things as Sofia needs them. Thanks so much again.

Best,

Evan Handler

Sugar, spice, everything nice — it’s easy to forget her mischievous ways when she’s dressed so sweetly.

Saurette, a new girl’s line inspired by women’s RTW, captures the essence of spring with its classic yet carefree separates (using natural fibers like cotton, silk and cashmere). Designer Lisa Kanouse does wearable pieces with empire waistlines, blouson sleeves and large floral prints and an added touch of whimsy (ribbon trim, beading, embroidery).

It’ll put a little spring in her step.
